Organic Colombian, brought to you by the visionary Jesuits of the 1700s, who arrived with the revolutionary plant in what was then New Granda. The family farm that grows our Organic Colombian is a marvelous realization of the visionary dream the Jesuits had for the future. Today, Colombian Coffee is a valuable and viable commodity that strengthens the community and opens up a world of opportunity for it to thrive. Emerald coffee plants sparkle in the sunlight, climbing the terraced hillside thousands of meters above sea level, peeking from between rows of banana trees. The traditional farming methods are organic and sustainable, untouched by chemicals or machines, only the ripe cherries are picked by hand. This laborious traditional harvesting method coupled with the traditional washed process contribute to its luxuriously rich flavor and quality to stand the test of time. Organic Colombian is our first heavy bodied specialty coffee, swirling with naturally occurring sugars & oils carrying the vibrant notes of black cherry, chocolate and caramel.
Nagaa is an Organic Ethiopian, single origin, lightly roasted with an 89 cup score. Bright floral and raspberry chocolate notes give this coffee a distinct and exquisite flavor. Ethopia has a phrase; “Buna fi nagaa hin dhabiinaa”, that roughly translates as, “May you never lack coffee nor peace”. This Ethiopian saying hints at the inextricable relationship of coffee to its origins and the relationship of Ethiopian culture with coffee. Coffee & Peace are implied as necessities for a culture to thrive. We were drawn to this coffee because of the role it has played in building community throughout the centuries, a medium for intentional connection. We named this coffee Nagaa: Peace, because it is one of the most important foundations for community and that is our driving motivation at Bazaar Coffee.
Makai is Organic, processed with a sustainable washed method ensuring it is pure, mold & toxin free. We use a carefully calculated medium roast to protect its brilliant flavor & health benefits. Makai is a superfood packed with vitamins and minerals like the electrolyte potassium for transporting hydration to your cells. Makai is a natural, antioxidant rich, elixir containing Vitamin B5 essential for making red blood cells, manganese for building bones & clotting blood and magnesium to literally keep your heart beating! All of these marvelous qualities are contained in the tiny Pacific Coast Peaberry, which unlike the majority of coffee, grows a single combined seed. The exceptional phenomenon of Peaberry coffee accounts for as little as 5% of all the coffee grown in the world making it extraordinarily rare and we’re thrilled to share it with you!
Kahawa is a bright sunrise of flavor, uplifting at any time of the day with herbal, chocolatey notes and just a hint of fruit! This Peaberry is a versatile treat you can enjoy in any brew method but our favorite so far is French Press/ Cafetière. Kahawa is the future of Tanzanian Coffee, co-op grown, a happy marriage between generations of coffee traditions passed down from Kilimanjaro and the innovations of its region in the south of Tanzania. The Co-op of coffee growers behind our specialty coffee benefit from the wisdom of experience combined with new sustainability strategies to aid coffee grower for generations to come.
Noir is an homage to the timeless classics, inspired by the fondest memories with a cup score of 84. We have taken our grandparents tradition of cafe noir, enjoyed especially after a meal, fueling animated conversation and recaptured its spirit in Noir. We are exploring the beautiful simplicity of an origin, roast and purpose that has stood the test of time. Cultivated in Brazil with the most mild acidity for ultimate enjoyment, roasted low and slow to coax out sumptuous chocolaty richness and designed to be enjoyed anytime but definitely together. Cielo begins as glittering droplets of glacier, touching the sky, atop the highest mountain in Mexico. The Mountain Water Process uses those pure, sky borne, sparkling droplets to steam and soak our beans removing 99.9% of the caffeine. Mountain Water Processed, decafinated, whole bean, medium roasted specialty coffee. Shade grown in Vera Cruz, Mexico, Cielo has a cup score of 84 with a clean, bright flavor profile & notes of toasted nuts, honey and cinnamon.
Half Caff is the coffee we looked everywhere for and could never find, so we made it ourselves! Ethically sourced, washed and water processed, this coffee is rigorously tasted and tested to ensure it is mold free, low acid and bold. We kept all the electric flavor and just a bit of the caffeine! Sustainably grown in rich lowlands, roasted low and slow for vibrant taste and less acidity, this is the perfect coffee for expecting mothers, or anyone with caffeine sensitivity. You don’t have to sacrifice any of the health benefits when you cut your caffeine intake, Half Caff is packed with all the antioxidants and vitamins but half the caffeine. Half Caff has a cup score of 84, with tasting notes of chocolate, nutty, fruit.
