Beginning as glittering droplets of glacier, touching the sky, atop the highest mountain in Mexico, the water used to decaffeinate our beans gives the process its name. The Mountain Water Process uses those same sky borne, sparkling droplets to steam and soak our beans removing 99.9% of the caffeine! We’d been musing about our Decaf Mexican Coffee and what to call it, and remembered a term of endearment my Mama Nina called my Dad, Cielo. The name of our new Mexican, Single Origin, Decaf Coffee is Cielo, meaning sky.
Mountain Water Processed Decaffeinated, whole bean, medium roasted specialty coffee, shade grown in Vera Cruz, Mexico.
This coffee has a cup score of 84 with a clean, bright flavor profile & notes of toasted nuts, honey and cinnamon.
The packaging is 100% home compostable, including the degassing valve! Don’t forget to reorder and when you finish each bag, remove the tin tie and compost.
