Bazaar Coffee’s Organic Colombian, brought to you by the visionary Jesuits of the 1700s, who arrived with the revolutionary plant in what was then New Granda. The coffee plant, offered as a symbol of hope for the future and a priceless gift for the agrarian society thriving on trade. The Jesuits were filled with purpose, a sincere love for the people & a passion to see the local farming community thrive with coffee as their olive branch.

The family farm that grows our Organic Colombian is a marvelous realization of the visionary dream the Jesuits had for the future. Today, Colombian Coffee is a valuable and viable commodity that strengthens the community and opens up a world of opportunity for it to thrive. Emerald coffee plants sparkle in the sunlight, climbing the terraced hillside thousands of meters above sea level, peeking from between rows of banana trees. The traditional farming methods are organic and sustainable, untouched by chemicals or machines, only the ripe cherries are picked by hand. This laborious traditional harvesting method coupled with the traditional washed process contribute to its luxuriously rich flavor and quality to stand the test of time. Organic Colombian is our first heavy bodied specialty coffee, swirling with naturally occurring sugars & oils carrying the vibrant notes of black cherry, chocolate and caramel.

Colombia is now the third leading coffee producer in the world, thanks to the investment the Jesuits made in the bright future they imagined was possible. We’re proud to support the families growing our Organic Colombian Coffee and witness the dream come true. We celebrate the introduction of coffee to Colombia but ultimately our inspiration is the historical accounts of the Jesuits devout love for and defense of the people they lived amongst. As we continue our coffee journey, sourcing, roasting, retailing and wholesaling, our desire is to emulate that heroic example. We seek to uplift, encourage and invest in the good of all as we endeavor to bring you the best specialty coffee.

As always, our packaging is 100% home compostable, including the degassing valve. Don’t forget to reorder and when you finish each bag, remove the tin tie and compost. However you choose to enjoy Bazaar Coffee, Get Bazaar Together!
